May 04, 2010 Some new tips and advise when using mypieceofpitch.
(Note: To keep costs to an absolute minimum, the software we are using was free and it is limiting us in our ability to fix and configure it, so please bear with us.)
· When you purchase a piece of pitch, you MUST CLICK THE RETURN TO AEHC button on PayPal. If you do not, the TRANSACTION WILL NOT COMPLETE.
· When you purchase a piece of pitch, YOU MUST ENTER A ‘NAME’ for your piece. Preferably the donators name, but you must enter something.
· Images must be less than 200KB in size.
· If your image is simple e.g. a logo, you may also wish to considered reducing the area of the image so that it all appears on the screen when someone views it.
· If images are not appearing correctly (e.g. ‘cutoff’)when you ‘mouse-over’ them, consider using a different internet browser. E.g. Google Chrome works. (We are investigating how to fix this, but it will probably be a personal browser setting.)
· Remember you can change you image at anytime. Simply follow the link on your confirmation email. It’s your piece of pitch!
· You can also change the ‘URL’ attached to your image. Be imaginative! But keep it clean!
· If, for whatever reason, you have a willing donator unable/unwilling to access the site, simply get their name, email address and donation, and email admin@mypieceofpitch.co.uk and we’ll process for you. They’ll then receive the confirmation email, and they can update their image if they so wish, at any point in the future.
